14th Edition of the Campus “Basketball in the Camino”

From 16 to 24 July 2022 in Sarria (Lugo), Spain

Do you like outdoor sports? Do you want to know new places and make good friends? If you were born between 2004 and 2013, come and enjoy sports and nature in the 8th Campus “Basketball in the Camino”. You will improve your game skills with the best coaches, and you will also learn English through our group activities and bilingual drills.

Activities & extras

  • Level-oriented training with Superior Coaches and Physical Education BA trainers.
  • Technification drills.
  • Shooting competitions (1×1,3×3, 3×5, 5×5, skills…)

  • Physical Training (coordination exercises, feet workout, speed, abdominals…)
  • Outdoor games (multi-sport activities, team games…)

What do I have to take with me?2018-02-26T11:42:26+00:00

You’ll have to take comfortable clothes and sport shoes, as well as a basic body hygiene kit (toothbrush ans paste, towels,…). Your ID and Social Security cards are required.

How are the Campus’ surroundings like?2014-12-25T22:31:01+00:00

The Campus “Basketball in the Camino” is on the town of Sarria, province of Lugo. It’s carried out in the superb facilities granted by the city government in the sporting area of O Chanto. At less than 100 m there is the Dormitory, on the Fray Luís de Granada Primary School premises. On that same surrounding, a traffic free open area, we have three covered courts, one of them with hardwood flooring, that offer space for five basketball fields. On the same premises of the dormitory we can use 2 minibasket covered courts. We can use four basketball and three minibasket uncovered courts too. Alongside these basketball specific facilities, attendants can use three outdoor swimming pools, one futsal outdoor court, two outdoor tennis courts, one outdoor paddle court and two grass football fields.
All this placed in natural and historical privileged surroundings, just on the french way to Santiago.

When will I check in? When can I be picked up?2019-12-23T20:43:22+00:00

Attendants will check in 16h on Saturday 11 July 2020. Once the Campus is finished, parents can pick attendants up on 13h on Sunday 19th July 2020.

How is the accommodation like?2018-02-26T11:42:26+00:00

Our dormitory, in the Fray Luís de Granada School premises, has rooms with full bathroom for 12 to 14 attendants. The total lodging capacity is 150 attendants. The dormitory has a Meeting Room where coaches prepare their training sessions, and where attendants can enjoy table games in their spare time. The dining room is also on the premises of the Dormitory and has capacity for 200 diners.

To avoid losses of money, we offer in the Campus a banking service so that attendants can deposit their money and withdraw it later, according to their needs.

Directions from outside Galicia.2014-12-25T22:24:18+00:00

Nearest airports are Santiago de Compostela Airport (Lavacolla) and A Coruña Airport (Alvedro).

There are bus lines between Lavacolla and Santiago (www.empresafreire.com) and between Alvedro and A Coruña (www.autoscalpita.es).

Once in those cities you’ll have to take another bus line to Lugo. The company that offers this service from Santiago is Autobuses Freire (www.empresafreire.com); and the one that connects A Coruña with Lugo is Arriva (http://www.arriva.es).

Once in Lugo, take a last bus to Sarria (www.monbus.es). The Campus is less than a kilometer away from the bus depot.
